A little about me, first and foremost, I am a wife and mama of two boys and a french bulldog.
How did I get into photography? Simple. My first born, Dylan. When he was born my whole world changed and I found my purpose--him. It was not until becoming a mother that I really felt the saying "time is a thief" and I felt it to my core. Everything my son did was so incredible to me and as the days turned into weeks, then months, then years I truly could not believe how fast time was passing and could not stand the thought of forgetting a single moment or milestone along the way. My solution -- freezing time the only way I knew how, taking pictures.
One thing lead to the next and after upgrading cloud storage about five times and watching me take thousands of pictures, my husband bought me a Canon EOS R5 for Christmas and that was the start of Andrea Buckley Photography. A few months and a photography mentorship program later, I expanded my clientele from just my son (who despite being my most challenging client will always be my favorite, along with his younger brother) to other families. I am incredibly lucky to capture so many people in all different phases of their life living out their own "good old days". Time is a thief, don't let it pass you by without photographs to look back on. Let me freeze some time for you the only way I know how, taking pictures.
My Approach
Authentic. Classic. Timeless. Clean.
Those are the four words I would use to describe my style. My approach to achieving that is to keep things easy breezy.
Pictures can feel overwhelming-- between choosing your photographer, finding a date and place, outfits, etc.. From inquiry to picture day I am readily available to communicate regarding anything, I provide a style guide that I can personalize to you and provide ample details leading up to the shoot.
By the time you are in front of my lens it is all about having fun and being authentic. You, your family, your children, your fiancé, your company -- whoever I have the privilege to photograph -- will get gentle posing prompts from me but the magic happens in between those poses. That is where we capture those moments that you can feel just by looking at a photograph. The moments that are authentic, classic, timeless and clean.
